Bleshman Students Learn all about Recycling from Alu Man The Can.

Through a grant from the Bergen County Health Department Clean Communities Program, Bleshman was afforded the wonderful opportunity to have Ms. Wilkinson visit to teach us how important it is to recycle. Ms. Wilkinson used props and a great video to teach our students all about recycling. The video, Alu Man The Can, was a big hit. In the video, Alu Man, an aluminum can, learned that he is recyclable and can be used over and over to make new cans. We also learned how newspapers are washed and the ink is removed, and then how they are re-used to make new newspapers. So the next time you see a newspaper, can, or bottle, recycle them to make room in our landfills, conserve our resources, and keep our neighborhoods clean.
