Vocational Application

Brownstone Dr. SeussSuperintendent Dr. Howard Lerner and a young student enjoy reading a Dr. Seuss book together to the class.

Students and staff at the Brownstone school celebrated Read Across America Day with entertaining and educational activities. Students came to school dressed in red and white and bearing a favorite book from home. A breakfast of Green Eggs and Ham with bagels started the festivities. At one o’clock, everyone stopped, dropped everything, and read! Invited guests read to classes, and the Cat in the Hat stopped by to visit with the students. After  watching the “Cat in the Hat” movie, each student received a Certificate for their participation in a very special Read Across America celebration.

Constitution Day:  Having studied the Constitution in their classes, Millburn Regional Day School students celebrated Constitution Day on September 21st.  The fun began as students made red, white, and blue glasses which they decorated with stars.  They also did word search puzzles, dot-to-dot sheets of the Constitution, mazes, and colored pictures of the American Flag, and the Liberty Bell.  Witnessed by Angela Cupo, Principal, the highlight of the day was when students signed a pledge to do their best because they are lucky enough to live in a country that affords them so many freedoms.

Refreshments, consisting of the all American Cheeseburger, chips and juice, were enjoyed by everyone.
