Mathematics Education is supplemented by
Carnegie Learning on the North Street School
Mathematics education has changed on the North Street School. Each student has been provided account access to the online educational program provided through Carnegie Learning. The learning environment in the classroom has experienced a positive improvement with the students actively engaging in the learning process.
An assessment test was administered to each student to determine their baseline Mathematical ability. From these results students were provided access to the program corresponding to their baseline Mathematical ability. Students are able to engage in the learning process within the classroom and from any computer with internet access. This educational tool has provided the students with varying mathematical abilities to progress at their own pace while developing new understandings in this subject.
Students are currently assigned at the Bridge to Algebra, Algebra I and Geometry levels.
