Now that the hectic activity that accompanies a new school year has slowed, we can quietly reflect and focus on our students’ progress, many of whom have made remarkable strides both academically and socially. It is easy to become so engrossed in our daily routine that we lose track of how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to work with our students and make a difference.
All students in third through eleventh grade will be taking the PARCC assessment this year. We continue to maintain our focus on Literacy-building skills across all content areas and preparing our students for the PARCC. Our teachers are actively involved in on-going professional development and integrating online technology tools, specific instructional outcomes, and different types of assessment into their lesson plans. Teachers will also be forwarding different on-line resources to our parents/guardians so students can practice at home. All of our faculty members are dedicated to engaging students in a high level of rigorous academic work designed to increase academic and social growth.
Maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment is one goal that can be accomplished through teamwork, consisting of parents, students, and faculty. Remember we are always available for any suggestion and recommendation to enhance our students’ achievements.
There is no other profession in the world that provides such satisfaction and pride as education, and no greater reward than seeing our students succeed to the best of their ability.
