The students at Millburn Regional Day School had a great time at the Fifth Annual Apple Festival. Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, MacIntosh, Granny Smith and other types of apples were celebrated!! Students were able to sample home made apple treats such as apple crumb cookies, apple pie, apple cake and apple bread!! Apple cider was the drink of choice to compliment the apple treats! Students also made "apple" crafts such as apple bag "people" and apple wreaths!! The students were excited when Dr. Lerner, Superintendent, visited the festival and helped with the apple crafts! A great time was had by all!!
The Career Awareness Center at Millburn Regional Day School hosted a “Mad Hatter Day” which was a fundraiser for Hats Off for Cancer. The event was held to provide students the opportunity to join the fight against pediatric cancer in a meaningful way. Hats Off for Cancer is a 501c tax-exempt nonprofit corporation that has donated more than 1,500,000 brand new hats to students battling cancer worldwide since its inception in 1996, in Hunterdon County.
Our students received black top hats that they were able to decorate before parading around the building to show off their amazing creations! Dr. Lerner, Superintendent, stopped by to take part in this important event.
Donations were made by parents and staff members.
