The Hammerheads at Work

     Mr. Hamersma’s group AKA The Hamerheads have been maintaining our Garfield house. Outside they have been wedding and edging gardens, moving shrubs and raking and bagging leaves. We received a new shed that needed cleaning and now houses all of our gardening tools. Inside they learned how to hang pictures and mirrors. Upstairs they completed painting the trim in the Rec room and set up the tables for future in house projects. Out in the community they are job sampling at TJ Maxx. Their the students are organizing and stocking shelves, as well as unpacking and preparing new merchandise for the selling floor. The students in fair weather have been walking to their worksite in an effort to increase their endurance and stamina. The Hamerheads also did a Fire Safety Drill at the Paramus Park Mall, where they had to locate various fire exists in the mall and at the two anchor stores. The day ended with a fire drill from the food court exiting from an exit they found earlier in the day
