Healthy Tips from the Nurse’s desk
1. Healthy You: Make healthy food choices including more fruits and vegetables, get enough sleep (8-10 hours), be active, exercise and make an appointment for a check - up, vaccinations, or screening. Be courteous and practice good manners. Be kind to yourself and others.
2. Wash hands often:
Hand-washing is very important to keep our kids as germ-free as possible. Hands should be washed with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, making sure they wash between fingers and fingernails and dry their hands thoroughly. Hands should always be washed before meals and after using the restroom.

3. Thank you to everyone for submitting your Flu and immunization records to the Health Office on time. We will continue to be in contact if your child is coming due for a vaccination.
4. Stay home if sick, rest and recover:
Please do not send your child to school, if they are sick. I.e. your child has a fever of 100 degrees or more, has vomiting and/or diarrhea, constant persistent cough and/or red itchy eyes that have drainage, etc. This is important for the health of the child and for the health of all children at school.
5. Parents of Pre-K 3 and 4 students: Please contact the Health Office in the morning of your child’s absence and inform us why he/she will not be attending. If your child has been ill, he/she should be fever free for 24 hours, without the aid of temperature reducing products, before returning to school.
We wish you all a continued healthy, safe and happy today and always! Please do not hesitate to call anytime.
